Editorial Standards

We prioritize listings that help users decide whether to install an app: accurate version data, unique descriptions, screenshots, and category-appropriate notes.

Index tiers

New listings enter an observation period and may be withheld from search indexing until they earn sufficient quality and uniqueness scores. High-quality pages can graduate to core catalog status.

Duplicate & template content

Pages that reuse the same boilerplate across many apps without app-specific facts may be marked noindex. We encourage factual blocks (package ID, changelog, device requirements) over generic marketing copy.

Why some apps are not in Google results

Low-quality or duplicate stubs may carry a noindex policy while editors improve them. This protects the overall catalog from scaled-content penalties and keeps crawl budget on pages that help users decide.
